Important Before You Start
- Make sure you have a stable internet connection during installation
- QR codes can only be scanned once - don't delete your eSIM after installation
- Keep your physical SIM card in place unless instructed otherwise
- Check that your device is unlocked and supports eSIM technology
Via the App
Choose Your Plan
Open the AirCarta app and select the destination and data plan you'd like, or find the plan you just purchased.
Tap "Install eSIM"
On your plan's page, tap the "Install eSIM" button. No QR code to scan, no settings to enter manually.
Automatic Activation
Your eSIM installs and configures itself in the background. You'll get a confirmation the moment it's ready to use.
Don't have the app yet?
iPhone / iPad
Open Your Email
Check your inbox for the email containing your QR code. If you can't find it, check your spam folder or contact our support team.
Go to Settings
On your iPhone, open <strong>Settings</strong> → <strong>Cellular</strong> or <strong>Mobile Data</strong>
Scan QR Code
Point your iPhone camera at the QR code displayed on the other device. The installation will begin automatically.
Configure Your eSIM
Activate at Destination
Your eSIM is now installed but not active yet. When you arrive at your destination:
Android
Open Your Email
Find the email with your QR code. For QR installation, open it on another device so you can scan it with your Android phone.
Go to Settings
Open <strong>Settings</strong> → <strong>Connections</strong> or <strong>Network & Internet</strong> → <strong>SIM Manager</strong> or <strong>Mobile Network</strong>
Add eSIM
Tap "Add eSIM" or "Download a SIM instead" and choose one of these options:
